Greetings!

Here is how we simplify the following expression:

[tex]=\frac{500}{4\frac{13}{14}}[/tex]

First, convert the mixed number into a improper fraction. Not sure how to do that? Here is a guide:

→ Multiply the whole number by the denominator of the fraction:

⇒ [tex] (4)(14)=56 [/tex]

Add the product to the numerator of the fraction:

⇒ [tex] 56+13=69 [/tex]

The improper fraction would be: [tex] \boxed{\frac{69}{14}}[/tex]

[tex]= \frac{500}{\frac{69}{14}}[/tex]

Flip the numerator and denominator to turn the division into multiplication:

[tex] =(500)(\frac{14}{69}) [/tex]

[tex] =(\frac{500}{1})(\frac{14}{69}) [/tex]

Multiply the numerators of the fractions by each other. Complete the same thing with the denominators. Example: [tex] (\frac{x}{y})(\frac{x}{y})= \frac{(x)(x)}{(y)(y)} [/tex]

[tex]=\frac{(500)(14)}{(1)(69)}[/tex]

[tex]=\frac{7000}{69}[/tex]

The Answer is:

[tex]\boxed{=\frac{7000}{69}}[/tex]

I hope this helped!
