To find our answer we need to work out the parenthesis. This can for instance be done using rainbow technique.

[tex]5 \times - 3x + 5 \times - 7 = [/tex]
Now multiply. Remember that multiplying a negative by a positive makes you end up with a negative.

[tex] - 15x - 35[/tex]
The fourth answer is correct.
