The meaning of age can change from one generation to the next. if possible, talk to both a parent and grandparent about how old age was defined when they were your age. what was considered to be old

Age considered to be old during then would be honestly no where near where it is today. Old age would be 65 or older during those times.

Nowadays kids and teens consider 40+ to be old age.
