the fact that it was strongly nonviolent, due to the fact that if the media saw a black person fighting back against a white person physically, they would zoom in (not literally) on the black person and omit the first move that provoked it.

  • Usually, a civil disobedience is performed to force concessions from the government.

Therefore, i believe that most important element of civil disobedience is there must be consciously committed offense of disobedience.
