Judge Not: Arizona has three official courts of record. Judges on the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and most Superior Courts are appointed by the Governor. The AZ Constitution requires that all judges must retire from the court when they reach 70 years of age. U.S. Federal judges and Justices of the Supreme Court have life-time appointments.
