Part 1: Collect Communication Skills • Watch two CSI programs. Cite specific episodes. • Good communicators are clear, concrete, concise, good listeners, empathetic, and respectful. Look for the Investigators using good communication skills. These skills are necessary in both written and oral communication. • Collect examples of Interrogation and Investigation communications. • Make a list of unacceptable techniques used by agents. Where do they need to improve? • Note the skills and actions that would produce valuable evidence worthy of the courtroom. • Provide specific examples for each of the six communication skills listed. Remember that communication is both written and spoken. You should have examples of both. You may also make use of some of the written communication and recording skills you learned earlier in the course.
