The food, the music, the celebration! Who doesn't love a great festival? Here in Copper Springs, we have some marvelous annual festivals: the Winter Festival of Lights, Cowboy Carnival, and the Fall Fair. These festivals draw big local crowds. But to bring in visitors from other parts of the state and give local businesses a boost, we should add a new festival: the Raging River Revel.
Nothing defines our town more than the beautiful Copper River, which flows right through downtown. The river is an especially "splashy" attraction in springtime, when melting snow flows down from the mountains in spectacular fashion. The rushing rapids would certainly appeal to adventure tourists and nature lovers everywhere.
What if our new Raging River festival started a wacky river raft race featuring creative rafts that could be judged? We could also hold fishing competitions to draw more outdoor enthusiasts. Add some vendors, food, and live bands, and the new Raging River Revel could really help Copper Springs make a splash!
